Brief information about the Sokodé
Sokodé Sokodé is the second biggest city in Togo and chair of the Tchaoudjo and Centrale Region at the center of the country, 339 kilometres (211 mi) north of Lomé. With a population of 86,500 (2004), currently at about 118,000, the city is situated between the Mo and Mono rivers, and it is a commercial center for the surrounding agricultural regions.
It's a multi-ethnic and multi-religious city, but is dominated by Islam. It's Muslims whose cloths are somewhat reminiscent of North Africa, an administrative center where the majority of Kotokolis live. Then guys wear bulbous and girls the veil over outfits that are beautiful.
