Malmö Malmö (; Swedish: [ˈmâlmøː]; Danish: Malmø [ˈmælmˌøˀ]) is the largest city in the Swedish county(län) of Skåne(Scania). It is the third-largest town in Sweden, following Stockholm and Gothenburg, and also the sixth-largest town in Scandinavia, with a population of 316,588 (municipal total 338,230 at 2018).
The Malmö Metropolitan Region is currently home to over 700,000 individuals, and also the Øresund Region, which comprises Malmö, is home to 4 million people.Malmö was among the earliest and most populous cities in Scandinavia, but it struggled to accommodate to post-industrialism.
Since the building of the Öresund Bridge Malmö has undergone a major transformation, bringing pupils, encouraging biotech and IT companies, and producing architectural developments.
The town it's a commercial centre for the western portion of Scania, and contains many historic buildings and buildings.
