Brief information about the Nikšić

Nikšić Nikšić (Montenegrin Cyrillic and Serbian Cyrillic: Никшић, pronounced [nîkʃit͡ɕ]) is the second largest city of Montenegro, with a total population of 56,970 situated in the west of the country, in the middle of the spacious Nikšić area at the foot of Trebjesa Hill.

It's the heart of Nikšić Municipality with a population of 72,443 based on 2011 census, and this is the largest municipality by area and second inhabited after Podgorica. It was also the largest municipality by area in Yugoslavia. It's an important industrial centre.
