Brief information about the Yokohama
Yokohama Yokohama (Japanese: 横浜, Hepburn: Yokohama, pronounced [Yokohama]) is the second biggest city in Japan by people, and also the most populous municipality of Japan. It is the capital city of Kanagawa Prefecture. It lies on Tokyo Bay, south of Tokyo, in the Kantō area of the main island of Honshu.
It is a business hub of the Greater Tokyo Area. Yokohama grown rapidly as Japan port city after the end of Japan isolation in the mid-19th century and is today one of its ports along with Kobe, Osaka, Nagoya, Hakata, Tokyo, and Chiba.
