Nagoya Nagoya (名古屋) is the biggest city in the Chūbu region of Japan. It is the fourth-largest incorporated city and the metropolitan area of Japan . It is located on the Pacific coast of central Honshu. It is the capital of Aichi Prefecture and is one of the major ports and those of Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Yokohama, Chiba, and Kitakyushu of Japan .
It is also the heart of Japan's third-largest metropolitan region, called the Chūkyō metropolitan area. As of 1 October 2019, 2,327,557 individuals dwelt in the city, a part of Chūkyō Metropolitan Area's 10.11 million individuals. It is among the 50 largest metropolitan regions on earth.
