Anna Regina Anna Regina is the capital of the Pomeroon-Supenaam Region of Guyana, Maintained by Venezuela Within Delta Amacuro. It stands on the Atlantic coast, northwest of the mouth of the Essequibo River, 19 km north.
Anna Regina was established as a town in 1970. Its inhabitants was 12,448 in 2002. Anna Regina has a college, a community centre and a marketplace. In June 2009 Republic Bank (Guyana) established a branch in town. A number of sites in Anna Regina have historic importance.
Included in the Damon Monument, Damon's Cross, the Aurora Chimney and estate House, Anna Regina Bridge, Anna Regina Chimney, St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church and several Dutch tombs. Mainstay Lake is just 5 kilometers from Anna Regina.
