Kankan (Mandingo: Kánkàn; N'ko: ߞߊ߲ߞߊ߲߫) is the largest city in Guinea in land area and the third largest in population, with a population of 193,830 individuals as of 2014. The town is located in Guinea roughly 345 miles east of the state capital Conakry.

The town is the capital and largest town of the Kankan Region and of the Kankan Prefecture. The population is mostly in the Mande category.
