Larnaca Larnaca (Greek: Λάρνακα [ˈlarnaka]; Turkish: Larnaka or İskele) is a town on the southern coast of Cyprus and also the capital of the eponymous district. It's the third-largest town in the country, with a metro population of 144,200, after Limassol and Nicosia at 2015.

Larnaca is known for its palm-tree seafront called the Church of Saint Lazarus in Addition to Foinikoudes, Hala Sultan Tekke, Kamares Aqueduct, and Larnaca Castle. It's built on the ruins of ancient Citium, which was Stoic philosopher Zeno's birthplace.

Larnaca is home to the main airport, Larnaca International Airport of the country . It has a marina and a seaport.
